OMG... I'm approved!!

Ok so I just got off with my insurance Excellus BCBS... at first she said that she didn't find the authorization request when I already confirmed it was received. Then I was put on hold longer and she came back and found it. I swear they have to throw in just a little torture... but then she said it was approved this morning. After my stomach stopped doing somersaults I was able to thank her. I have to admit the insurance turned it around within 48 hrs.

I have the same insurance. I was told at the dr. office that it is pretty much the best insurance to have for WLS. She said normally authorization with them comes within 24 hours.. She said just earlier in the week they had an Excellus authorization come back in less than 4 hours.

Congratulations on your approval! I have to ask how you got a date so quickly? I don't even have an informational meeting until JULY! Is there a key to getting in sooner? This is my first post here and I am trying hard to figure out these boards! :-)
