Ok i know this one is bad for me, but they say a nurse is one of the worst patients, always worried about everyone else... I have been really bad with taking my supplemnts.  Not that i dont want to i just forget.  I always take my multivitamin ...however calcium b12 and iron i have been bad with remembering.  I was placed on b12 shots not bec my levels were to low but bec i told the doc i cant remember all the time to take it so thats taken care of.  I went for bloods and my iron was low...so i got in trouble lol... I am trying really hard to remember to take it daily.  The calcium i have to find one i like now that they cancelled the little chewy waffers that i like so much.....Ok so i put it out there so you all can yell at me .....i promise to try to do better , Have a great day.

Hi Lisamarie:

Thank you for the reminder, that we are human and the importance of suppliments for health...

What helps me is I prepare my daily vits in tupperware midgies I have 8 or more and set up weekly and take on and go. I do either citrical tabs or upcalD (www.colonialmed.com) ....I figure I dont have to like any of them I just have to DO IT and take them (no trying here just doing!) It is just about making self important to come first...Low iron is nothing to play with as you know, with us we may end up needing more time for ourselves if dips low and we have to get iron infusions!!!!!!!!!!Yuck!

Be well and keep doing it! You can succeed!

PS set cell phone to vibrate 4x day t get them in until its a habit perhaps? I do this with my patietns who are on meds 3-4x day seems to help!?

No need to feel bad about yourself Lis-It IS hard to remember to take them every day. I have my supplements set up for the week in those little old lady pill boxes so I take the multivit, iron, b12 and vitamin c all together in the morn out of the box.....but some days I am in a rush, don't have time, whatever, and I forget. Most days I remember, but IT'S hard to remember everything all the time!!!

However: It's good to be reminded of the importance of remembering....

Lisa... I hated the calcium I was taking. The pills were way too big.. and even when cut in 1/4's would get stuck. I switched to these and they are so much better. Just suck on them for a while and then chew.  I get the cherry and the taste isn't bad at all... http://www.bariatriceating.com/180coboov25s.html

Ps.. thanks for reminding me to take my 2nd calcium today..

Lisa Marie, I will not be yelling at you, give yourself a break, you are only human.  You just need to figure out the best way to remind yourself. How about post it notes on doors, in the car, on the bathroom mirror. Setting up pill boxes, like suggested before. Packing them with your lunch. If you are near a computer frequently, set up outlook to remind you or use a PDA. I just went to amazon.com and did a search and there were three pages of products to help remind you to take your medications. Good luck in remembering Jim

http://www.colonialmedical.com/product.php?productid=19796& cat=526&page=1 Hi LisaMarie, I posted on the main board about calcium and finally decided on the UpCalD, which is apparently cheapest on the above-linked site. It comes in a cannister and also in "take-along" packets like crystal lite--it's unflavored so you can mix it with drink/food, but you can also put it right in your mouth & it's like a pixie stick.  (so they say, mine's on it's way to me, and I'll let you know!) I can take pills, but for some reason, those Citrical petites just bother me. Glad you're doing better,
