First appointment

Had my first appointment today.   I meet with the nut and the surgeon.  They were both so nice and not nearly as intimidating as I thought they would be.   I need to lose about 12 pounds before surgery..  very doable.. I've lost that much in just a few weeks many times over and over and over again in the past. I was told by the surgeon that was an excellent candidate for the surgery.. (then again, they probably tell most people that).   I now have to schedule my psych eval and at least one support ground in the next month.    I don't really foresee any problems with insurance..   I don't know much about how it works,  I have remsco,  but there are two networks in my insurance one being Excellus BCBS and another pchs or something like that.   From what I understand though the Excellus is one of the easier insurances to work with..  they don't even require a pre-authorization from what I was told..   (appricate any info anyone may have though). Anyways, I'm sooo very excited to have this started and look forward to being on the loosing side of things come early fall.

Congrats...making the first call is the hardest.  I had RMSCO...they were terrific...I was approved overnight.  Good luck and keep us updated! Rosemary
