It seems that for the last 2-3 weeks my mouth has been really watery. As soon as I swallow it is as if the saliva is right back filling up. Any reason or anybody else have this. Didn't know if this is common or just me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Christine

Chritine: is this all the time or only after eating/drinking?
Does it cause drooling?
sialorrhea or ptyalism are names for this, can be caused by medications or possiby neurologic conditions. But if just w/ food maybe you are getting the slimes we cal them from irritated pouch and or esophagus? Strep throat? Tooth decay, oral infections? Do you smoke?
Are you swallowing less? Are you nauseated? Heartburn?
Esopagus produces saliva to neutralize the acid in tummy if present...
Also common in preganancy...are you sure that is not a possibility? remember we are very fertile postop and Birth Control Pills can not be trusted to be effective!
Have you talked to your surgeon? Keep us posted.

I sometimes have that reaction about a half hour or so after eating sometime sweet (fruit, etc).  It is a strange sensation...a minor "dump" reaction I think. Rosemary
