TGIF ALL, WOW that I am back to work I really look forward to my Firdays again OK I for one would like to list some of the things I am so very thankful from this surgery and maybe you all will join in and list some of yours?  What I am thankful since the surgery is: 1. Now I know this is something I have to deal with every day of my life, I can not just say "this once will not hurt" and do that over and over again!

2.  The awesome feeling that I know I am taking better care of ME! 3.  Much better health, making sure I follow through on all my vitamins and such. OK who would  like to list theirs????? You all have a great weekend! ~hugs~

Thanks for posting this! Since every day feels like a miracle to me, I am thankful all the time and it's nice to talk about!

What I am thankful since the surgery is:

1. That I feel like a normal person and more importantly, I look relatively normal (my sons would question whether I actually act normal tho).

2.  I feel like the weight of the world is off my shoulders

3.  Better health and mobility. 4. Fitting into regular sized clothes, and even shopping from the boys' section!

Wishing everyone a great weekend! Sue

Hiya Debra, Great posting!!!!!! Hmmmm....let's see....I am thankful for -being able to participate in my first 5K this Sunday(something before WLS was only a dream!) -being able to go skiing  -being able to enjoy looking at myself in the mirror -looking pretty darn good in just about anything I try on in the store -being able to cross my lets (thats a biggie for me!!!) -being told that I look like I'm in my 20's (I don't know about that one.,,,,I still think they are lying!!! for heavens sake my older daughter will be 20 in June!!!) (I AM 43 and PROUD OF IT...MIDDLE AGE NEVER FELT BETTER) -being able to enjoy SEX again...thats right...I said it (you all know its better now, lets see...who else will admit to it????) -being able to wear light bright colors (last summer I wore white capris for the first time ever) I guess these are similar to my WOW moments.....but I love to share them because they make me smile. :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)::)

This is a great idea... What I am thankful for since the surgery is: - I know that life isn't all wine & roses but it is nice to know that I have a real shot at being happy again!! I have been through some rough stuff in my life & now I control things & definitely not the food!! Maybe I can even find that elusive "Mr. Right"!!

- I am thankful every day for the chance to live life again!! I think back to where I was a year ago & I cannot even imagine how I made it through some days!!! I am very thankful God gave me this opportunity & more importantly the strength to make it work!! - I am thankful for the new found energy to move & be active!! I can actually breath AND walk at the same time again... who'd have thunk it?! - I truly cannot wait to see what the future holds!! I look forward to seeing my nieces grow up & actually be able to participate in things - not jus****ch!!! - Oh & then there's the shopping for clothes!! I am just starting to get back to being able to shop in stores instead of on-line!! I cannot wait to be able to walk into a store & see something I love & actually be able to pick it up & buy it... and have it fit!!!  There are so many things to be thankful for & I know I am just scratching the surface. Life holds so many more miracles that I will be able to enjoy & maybe that's what I am most thankful for - the chance to be around long enough to finally enjoy all I dream of doing!!
