I CAN'T BELIEVE IT--100 LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's funny, Dominique, when I'm clothes shopping. I have a friend that I call my personal shopper because she loves to shop and she's so happy to go with me to buy new clothes...when she picks something out, I say "I think that will be too small", and then it fits! She always cracks up. It's hard to remember to automatically go for the smaller sizes...but I think it's more a matter of getting used to it, because I'm thrilled when I see it on me! It doesn't have to be a forever thing--there are some things about myself I see in the mirror that don't thrill me if I chose to dwell on them, but I;ve worked too hard to sweat the small stuff. Thank you!
I SO know what you mean...When I look back at pictures of the teenager I was, and remember that I thought I was fat, I could cry. I wasn't fat. You CAN get to your goal. When I first saw the nut for my consult, she said to me, how much do you want to weigh? I hadn't a clue! she said what size would you like to be? That was easier, so I said I'd settle for a 10 or a 12. She said, no, without settling, what size would you like to be? So I said 8, not really believing I'd see it. As I got closer and closer to goal (I'm still 6 lbs. away) I started to believe it could really happen. I think a lot of it for me was seeing others here reach and maintain their goals and also having a doctor's team that believes that we can reach 100% of our goals. Sometimes others have to believe in us before we can believe in ourselves.
