Hello my OH family Just stopping in to see how you all are doing? I am back to work in a job that I really like so I am on my way back to a routine that will support my new lifestyle.  I have been sick for a while with flu and then into a really back cold! I am on day 3 of my meds and I am feeling so much better! I have to say one thing is weird though, I have not been eating all that much but have not lost anything either!  I am having bloodwork done on April 1st and seeing the Dr on the 8th to go over the results, I guess I will see what is going on there. Maybe my thyroid is slowed down again but I am  not sure so we will see. I know I have to start moving again and that will help alot, just waiting to feel better and I will be back to my gym now that I am working close to it again! Also heading back to the counselor because she is in this area as well so that is all good!  Please post and say hello, tell me how you all are doing as well!

Hey Deb!
So sorry that you've been sick with the flu! Nasty one this year. A lot of people have had it and it takes a long time to go away.

I'd love to hear more about your new job! Last I heard you were working on your on line business. Is that still going on?

I am hanging in. It's been a dog of a year, separating from my ex, custody battling, dealing with the kids' suffering and my ex being a real pig, being in school full time and working part time, trying to get my head around these changes. WLS was a key for me to make positive changes in my life, but a lot of them have been very hard and challenging. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but still, I am tired and burnt out and could use a bit of inspiration and good feeling in my life! All things in time, I know.

Anyway, always good to see your smiling face. Drink lots of water to chase away the buggies. Sending you big hugs,

xo

Slight hijack here-- Hi Amy, Boy, you really are going through a lot, and I think you're handling it really well.  All that stress certainly doesn't make it easy.  I know with my DH being sick; me facing unemployment after 5/31, sometimes I just want to curl up in bed with a big bag/carton of (name your favorite comfort food). Your kids are lucky to have you in their corner to help ease their pain; sometimes in these matters both parents get so caught up in the battle for the kids that they forget about how it's affecting the kids.   You're doing such positive things, here's to some inspiration and good feelings! Take good care,
 Karen

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts Karen. Sometimes big changes require one to really shift ones life in unexpected ways. I know in the end, it's for the best. Just VERY painful. I'm sorry to hear that your DH has been ill and that your job is in jeopardy. Maybe job wise, where one door closes, some more wonderful door will open? I hope your DH recovers soon.
Hugs and thanks,
Amy

Yeah it really is a wild one but thank goodness I am feeling better every day!   I am a Cash Management Assistant for an acconting firm which main client is Wendy's, YES the fast food Wendy's.  Good thing we do not get free food.   I do payroll and other kinds of transfers, keeping their cash books up to date and such. I really enjoy it, kind of new every day!

I am so sorry to hear about all the BS you have been going through!!! Hang in there, I know things can be bad at times but they do get better and you should be so proud of yourself for all the GOOD things you have in your life! You are doing awesome hun, keep moving forward! Thanks for posting hun!

~hugs~

Three cheers for you on your new job! Thanks for your support and sweet words. Life sure is interesting. Sometimes one change occurs and it's like a domino effect with a series of other changes. I'm trying to keep a sense of humor and pay attention to all the wonderful things in my life too.

Glad you're feeling better. Thanks for staying in touch!

Hi Deb.  I'm always so happy to see your posts. Sorry about the flu, it has been real nasty this year.  The shot was only 40% effective this year (we all get one in my family, between my DH's liver disease & my DS's asthma, we all need it) and I'm praying it skips us.  I can't shake a sore throat/runny nose type thing; wondering if it's allergies. Going for more surgery on the 4/17, surgical hernias, abdominal wall strengthing and...implants!  I get to get them because my reconstructed breasts sagged just like real ones...probably the only benefit to having had breast cancer is that I get the implants!  I'm nervous, but at the same time, I can't wait.  Kind of the same feeling as when I had the RNY. Anyway, that's how I am.   I hope you feel better quickly--you know, your body might be holding onto the weight 'cause you're sick--it's trying to protect you.  I'd love to hear more about your job. Feel good,

Karen, Well I wish you all the best with your surgery, I do wanted to have my arms and boobs done last Oct but it was just not in the cards so I guess I will work on that in the future.   I know before any surgery you stress and that is normal, these are changes to our bodies.  Thanks for posting hun, have a great day!

~hugs~
