I should have asked this question in my last post....Does anyone here have NYSHIP insurance...New York State Employees Insurance program...its The Empire Plan/United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Blue shield multi plan?  If so, Any problems getting approved< what do they require? and was the process long?  I called the insurance company and they said their criteria is different for everyone, to be honest, I'm thinking that the guy just didnt want to be bothered with me, he was very short with me and I certainly didnt feel that he had the time for me to be asking questions...thought I would ask here before I call them again and hopefully get a different rep.

WOW thats all it took was a week?  Awesome!!!  Did they require you to do a ton of stuff?  After reading here and looking at what alot of these people had to do for their insurance company, it has all kinda made me alittle discouraged.

It took a week after I had finished all my other appointments and the surgeon submitted my paperwork-I had to meet with the nutritionist, cardiologist,my primary Dr,an Endocrine Dr and a pulmonary Dr..  I had to submit a list of other diet attempt but no six month medically supervised diet.
