http://www.cornellphysicians.com/mig2016/index.html This is Dr. Michael Gagner in New York.  I don't know of one in Florida; I tried looking for you. I've only heard good things about Dr. Gagner.  Good luck.

THAT Dr Gagner moved to Florida a few months ago he's working out of (I believe) Mt Sinai in Miami he's way up there in the ranks of the top respected bariatric surgeons in the country (if not the world).  He has operated on quite a few of the people on the DS board ... actually, he was the first surgeon to perform the DS laparoscopically.

I knew he had a great reputation, Sean; didn't know he had moved to Florida!  Funny, Mt. Sinai in Florida (I guess you have to be a New Yorker to laugh at that...or maybe I'm just tired.)

I was amazed as you I knew of his world renowed status in bariatrics and was pleased he was in NY! I looked at Cornell's site http://www.cornellsurgery.org/patients/services/lap-bariatric/team.html they no longer list him..Sad for NYers! Great for Floridians!

VSG on 03/26/08 with
I responded to  you on another board but in case anyone is trying to find him he is at:  Mount Sinai Medical Center 4300 Alton Road      Miami Beach, FL  33140     305-674-2121    I spoke directly with him on the phone when choosing the VSG and almost glew to Florida to have him do my surgery.  He was THE top guy in NYC here and came highly recommended to me by my AMAZING NYC neurosurgeon.  Good luck in Miami!  He told me the beach is a great place to recuperate.  If I could do this in Miami I'd be there in  a minute to see him but I have a daughter and other life complications that made it impractical.  Good luck!
