I'm just in the starting stages of things.    My first appointment is this coming Tuesday.  I don't really think there will be a problem with my Insurance as it is clearly stated in the plan "handbook" that a once in a life time surgical weight loss intervention for obesity is covered.   I have called to verify it, and have been "read" to from their guidelines the normal  must have 40 bmi and 35 with co's  My problem is when I call to try to get an idea of what they need for qualifying such as a 3 or a 6 month dr. supervised diet..  all they will tell me is that I must have the provider to call for that info. Has anyone here had any experience with RMSCO?

Hi, I had RMSCO...and they were terrific.  I just had to have a letter from my primary doctor that he thought the surgery would be for me.  I had a high BMI...but, no other obesity problems.  Once the surgeon filed the paperwork...I was approved overnight (literally). Good Luck...keep us updated. Rosemary
