Dr. Lindstrom at AMC... question
Well I have to say that I was in the room with her for about 10-20 min she goes over all of the things that you have to do to get surgery done. At first I did not know how to take her BUT I do like her...She is stricked and pulls no punches. Make sure that you are a little earlt I have heard she won't see ya if your late ( that is what I heard in a support group). Well good luck be very motivated to do all the things that are asked of you. I saw her on 9/7/07 and had all the things that I needed done by the time I saw her 11/26/07. Saw the dr 1/10/08 and had surgery on 2/11/08. Good Luck......I just went back to work today I was so very tired BUT I was glad that i went back it was better than sitting in the house!! LOL. She is currently my PCP through their office at Exit 5.. But I am in the process of switching.. She is quite rude and unprofessional.. At 1 point during my recovery I had full body hives from an allergic reaction to 'nexium'.. My surgeon recommended I be seen by my PCP and she outright REFUSED to treat me. Her exact words were.. "They put you on the medication, let them treat you".. Now, don't get me wrong, a bit of her 'medical ethics oath' must have kicked in a couple of hours later because she had her secretary call me to say that if I wasn't going to be seen by my surgeon the following day, I should go to the ER... Still she never offered to see me..
You can expect her to be abrupt, unprofessional and unfriendly.. But that's just my opinion..

You should be fine... You're going through AMC's program.. I personally feel (no flaming here please.. this is just mho).. her nose was bent because I chose Ellis over AMC.. But that was my personal choice for what plan fit best for me.. I wish you great luck with her... Hopefully she'll be nicer to you.. I'm just hope every day I don't get sick between now and May 5th when I see my new pcp.. :)
