My surgery was three weeks ago and I lost a total of 28 lbs. on medifast pre-surgery and six more after surgery but I have not lost anything in a week and I am concerned. I am tolerating all soft foods and small bites of chicken and veggies. I am not really eating a whole lot but trying to get scrambled eggs and a piece of whole wheat toast in the am and I was on soups for lunch but now cottage cheese and tuna (which is dry so had a hard time, have to eat slower) and then cottage cheese, green beans and chicken etc. at night. I have had alittle cheese and couple of crackers. Is it normal to not lose for awhile? How long should I expect this to last? thanks for your help. nancy3
Hi Nancy, I had the RNY, so I'm a bit different from you, but I, too, hit a stall at 3 weeks out. I think its' a pretty normal occurance. My stall lasted for almost 3 weeks, then, I suddenly lost several pounds.
It sounds like you're doing everything right. I wouldn't worry too much at this point :)

Nancy,
Congrats on your weightloss thus far... you're doing really well!!! Don't get discouraged stalls are normal... your body is just realizing something changed & it's "re-adjusting" itself!! Be patient & stay the course - it will break & unfortunately it will happen again - it's an evil, vicious cycle!!
I usually hit one right around the week before my time of the month... ugh... but it doesn't last too long - I try to tough it out & stay off the scale!!!
Good luck & keep up the great work!!!
Cece
BTW - try adding a bit of low-fat mayo to your tuna - trust me it helps!!!
