Empire Plan anyone?

Hi all.  Does anyone have the NYS Empire plan, and how long did it take for approval

I have the NYS Empire Gov't plan and got approved in one day.  I had no problems at all with my Insurance company. Best of luck to you. Hugs, Patty

Hi ... I have the NYSHIP Empire Plan.  I'm just beginning my journey, but I have found out they require 6 months of nutritional visits before they will approve surgery (at least for me).  This could possibly be a requirement on a case-by-case basis, tho.   Let me know what requirements you might have ...     KarenB

Hi Karen, Thanks for the reply.  I have NYSHIP through CSEA.  Is that the same as yours?  My surgeon just told me that it takes max of 1 month to get approved.  I think that is worse case scenario.  I just needed my preop stuff done before submitting, which they are doing now. 

Empire NY Govt. approved in 2 weeks time.  Good luck  to you.
