SURGERY DATE -MARCH 17TH 2008 --LUCK OF IRISH
I didn't have to do a pre diet either, just the clear liquids and had to drink this stuff to clean me out. I can say for myself that the sugar / choc / carb monster has never left me, it will always be there and a forever fight against them, although I am doing much better with giving up the sugar because there are so many options out there in place of it. Carbs are my biggest problem. And I am trying to get back on track, but at least I have this tool of mine to help me through it. I realized a couple weeks ago, that I really don't have real hunger anymore, all this time it has been head hunger and I couldn't recognize the difference. My stomach hasn't growled in hunger since the day before surgery. If you feel you can start now, by all means do it. #1 cut out all carbinated soda and say goodbye to it forever, you don't need it, and it is the worst thing for you. Start there and just cut out little bits here and there and it won't seem like such a huge thing.
I can't remember the exact amount of protein we need, but I always try to get between 60 - 80 in a day. I used the Walmart brand shakes, love the taste, Body Fortress, in vanilla and chocolate, 23 grams per serving. March 17th sounds like a very lucky day!!! I wish you the best and a speedy recovery. Shannon 257/157/130 gained 10 back, getting back on track, getting ready to make a workout room in the house so that I can do some reps inbetween when clients are here.
