Hi everyone,
I am asking everyone to cross their fingers, toes, eyes (that's your choice). I found out how I might be able to get the surgery. I have to change from Fidelis ( I think it's managed care) and go to Total Care. There is a bariatric surgeon in Syracuse that takes this. I found out at 4:40pm Friday. A lady who works in the medicaid dep't. at our local DSS called me and told me about total care. She has a book that lists specialists. I gave her the name of the surgeon and BINGO, his name was listed. What is the best part he and my primary doctor both work in the same hospital and know each other. that is better yet. I have to go to a seminar at the hospital in Syracuse on March 4th. It has to do with WLS. I will then be able to meet with the surgeon.I have until Jan. 2012 to get this surgery. So please cross everythhing and pray that he will do it. Thank you all. brd ps: is there any support groups near there or can someone start up one for Cortland county. That would be easier for me.
