Suggestions re: books
Sally:
Good question. I am a strong believer in bibliotherapy!
There are so many to choose from. I really enjoy the work of Geneen Toth
www.geneenroth.com her books are timelss and in paperback and fairly inexpensive $8 or so a peice. Starting with anyone is fine... Breaking Free From Emotional Eating is the one I started with.
I think this is a good tool in an arsenal needed for food addiction, combine it with individual and or group therapy, perhaps a 12 step program like OA www.oa.org or other 12 step if indicated (CODA for myself) can help us in recovery, addictions are about not maaging emotions so the way past it is through....

The Food and Feelings workbook a full course meal on emotional health
Also Linda spangle has a good book Food is easy Life is hard or something like that!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/smile.gif)

PS Maybe go to the Library and get some books out for free that way you can read many!
