VERY FIRST STEP OVER

My informational seminar was yesterday with my surgeon and his staff.  I was really impressed with them ... they're awesome!  Next week my PCP and I will make out the surgeon's required paperwork, fax it to him, and then my nutritionist visits will be scheduled.  I'm really getting excited now!

Congrats on your decision!  You are not too far from me Karen.  Do you go to any support group meetings?  We have 2nd Monday of every month 6-8 pm at Corning East High School, in the library,  unless school is out for that day. Most of us have had our surgeries through Arnot,  but welcome anyone who is considering or have had gastric bypass or banding anywhere else.  So if you are interested the next meeting is March 10th. Hi Shannon!  You're right, I'm just about 35 minutes from Corning.  I attend church in Painted Post.  Thank you for letting me know about your group ... I am just starting so haven't attending any meetings anywhere yet.  I may just have to come down there on the 10th ... which school is Corning East?  I always get them mixed up.

Karen, Congrats on getting over the first hurdle!!! You will be so shocked at how fast time flies from here on out!!! I had my seminar in May & was on the operating table by October!!!! I was shocked!!! Good luck & keep up the great work!!!! I'm excited for you too!!!! Cece
