not eating enough

Is there such a thing as not eating enough? I have a friend who told me the scale isnt moving because I am not eating enough. She had the bypass surgery also. I told her I had a carnation instant breakfast for breakfast, 2 cups of milk not just one, 1/3 cup of cottage cheese for lunch and 1/2 (3 oz) a stuffed chicken breast with swiss cheese and crimini mushrooms for supper. Besides that I had about 50 ounces of water. That is what I ate yesterday and about the same as I eat everyday. I dont have snacks during the day just the 3 meals and water. I don't drink coffee or tea just the water. Is that not enough food and should I be adding more to my meals. She suggested a small salad with vegetables and then a light starch if there is still room. Just wanted to check in with all of you first. I have a doctors appointment on the 5th but figured I would start here. Any information would be great. Thanks, Christine

Wt loss ebbs and flos, but what I would like you to look at is amount of carbs/calories you are drinking in milk/carnation instant bkfst. I personally feelit is CIB or crap in a box. That offens some but it has little nutrition for the calories/carbs. Drinking does not fill pouch eiterh in the longrun soft calorie syndrome can be a concern.
Exercise helps too. Want my info on plateaus email me [email protected]

Depending on your instructions from your doctor...you probably should be have 800-1000 a day...keep a journal...and make sure you have your 60 grams of protein. When I started I wasn't eating enough...and my weight loss did improve when I upped my calories a little.  Check with your nutrictionist. Rosemary
