Liquid diet....

I have a quick question --- I will be on the liquid diet Monday and Tuesday - several people (friends and relatives) have told me oh do not eat cherry, strawberry or orange jello...I know there are many other flavors but is this true should I stay away from these?   If that is the case, what about popsicles, I just want to be sure to do the right thing!   OMG I cannot believe my surgery is next Wednesday...

Michelle, I believe the paperwork I got from somebody, Chris maybe, said the same thing... nothing red!! It's definitely true. I don't know about other flavors because I stayed away from popsicles & jello altogether - my choice. Call the office Monday am to double check about the popsicles but I think they were a no-no if they were red. Good Luck!! I am so excited for you!!!!

The red is in case you're bleeding... You see this alot with a tonsilectomy... they need to know if you're bleeding or from the popscicle. That's why you stay away from it.... I don't understand why you would need to stay away from these colors pre-op.... May be checking with Chris first thing Monday AM would be a great idea...

Just want to let everyone know that I called the doctors office and she said stay away from the red!   Good thing I checked because they never actually told me!   Anyhow she said yes to the orange & lime jello, which I have not had!   I have had alot of broth, water, lemonade, 2 popsicles and thats about it! LOL Just have to get through tomorrow and then get to the hospital in the snow!
