Hi all.  I just had my pre surgery appt with Dr Clarke.  I am all set for surgery on the 18th.  It came soooo fast.  He okayed me to go back to school the Monday after surgery if I am up to it.  I an in LPN school, 3 hours a day, he said I will just be tired, most of my major pain should be gone.  I CANT miss anymore time, or I could be kicked out, and I am almost done :)  .  I am so excited, I just cant wait.  He wanted me to loose 30 lbs, and I have lost 24.7lbs as of today.  He is happy with that.  I have all the suppliments I will need after.  Now I need to know what food to have in the house for my return home from the hospital????  Thanks!

Congratulations... I was just where you are so I know how exciting it is..... WHOOP WHOOP..... Week 1 you are on clear liquids so I had broth, sf jello, sf popsicles, and light juices. You're also allowed tea and coffee I believe.. Keep us posted. You're doing awesome.

You are doing great....Congratulations.  When I got home I could have sugar-free jello, broth, tea and coffee.  I'm sure they will give you a list.  You will probably have a couple of anxious moments, but keep your eye on the prize! Rosemary

How exciting!  Stick to the post-op instructions from your surgeon. Don't go crazy buying a whole bunch of  the protein drinks as your tastes might change post-op. Keep us posted.
