Has anyone else's hair changed?

It's so funny. I've always had thin, straight hair. Now, my hair is still thin, but it's getting curly. My new avatar is my natural hair!

Is anyone else experiencing changes in the texture of their hair? Or am I just weird?

Purple Passion Hi! Well I have heard of this actually but I do not have any scientfic info on why it is so!? I know with any form of stringent dieting we can lose hair and it will regrow, mine actually grows more and fuller than it used to due to all the protein I think I get? I'd love to see what others experience and or if anyone has some literature on this! jamie

Isn't that something? I would like to hear others' experiences as well. We may be on to something here, Jamie!

OH GOD YES!!! And I am nervous about it!! I know it's just hair & it'll grow back but it is bothering me!! I washed it yesterday afternoon & let it dry & I could see way too much scalp thank you very much!!!!  My hairdresser says the texture has changed & I think it's even curlier now!! They've also told me it's worse to me than it really is... yeah, ok!! I've always had straight hair & I got a perm during the summer but it seems curlier... maybe it's just me!!! We are trying to keep it very healthy - limiting the amount of heat I put to it & going to the salon every 4 wks instead of 5-6!!!! My dr told me to start taking biotin - it will help with the re-growth!!! I'll take anything!! They also said that some people believe it's from the surgery/anesthesia or from the protein deficiency but they don't know for sure!!! Anyway - I can hide rolls of excess skin with clothing but this girl doesn't wear hats & I can't hide this!!!

Hi Cece,
I do get lots of protein on most days. I do feel it's important to eat a balanced diet high in protein. I do wonder if this has made a difference with my hair.

The little bit I did lose a few months back...you can't even tell. My hair looks and feels much thicker and fuller than it did prior to surgery. Perhaps it will be the same for you?
