Quick update from my hospital bed
Hey everyone. Had my surgery on Wednesday, and all went well, Wednesday night they put me in ICU and I started to vomit, not too sure what I was vomiting, but then it turned into dry heeves which is awful after surgery. Had my upper GI series which I also did not pass, there was bubbles showing, From what I gather, they aren't sure if it was from the contrast or not, but since I had gotten so sick they are taken the utmost precautions. I somewhat lost it today with the team of drs that came in, I am getting a different story from everyone who has come in. as of now I have still not had anything by mouth, tomorrow I will go for a repeat catscan and upper gi and then we will see where it will go from there, I feel pretty good which in turn is making me miserable cause I am being held hostage, Just wanted to check in.

I's so sorry you're going through this. Don't know if this pertains to you at all, but my roomate had terrible vomiting & then dry heaves...turned out it was the morphine. but of course that wouldn't have anything to do w your bubbles. I hope you get some answers and resolution soon.

Hi karen, they actually did mention thinking it was the morphone cause I never had it before, I haven't taken the morphine in days and no vomiting either. They gave me something else the other day for pain, now i just ask for it at night, cant sleep here to save my life, Thank god hubby got my laptop.

I am sorry that you ran into some problems with this. We all want you home and SOON.
Ask lots of questions about the things that concern you and be your own advocate. ( Writ them down if you have to.
Here's hoping that you get the problem resolved so you can get outta there.
