hard time with medifast

Hello, I was just weighed in for the 2nd week on medifast... 20lbs so far  .... and im having a problem.  It is giving me severe diarrhea.  Like 5-7 times a day pure water...TMI!!  Anne at Dr Clarkes office told me some people have a reaction to the soy, it is soy based, and apparently i am one of those people.  She had me start on the fruit punch  and it is terrible, i cant even stomach it.  it makes me very sick to my belly.  I cannot do it.  She said some people even have to do slim fast instead, but I read about it and it is like 100 calories more than medifast...will i still loose the weight???  I am not drinking anymore of that nasty fruit punch, I go to the office Monday morning, and I will see what my next step in.... anyone ever have this problem???

Sorry that the punch was soooo nasty - sounds like you might have to try the SlimtFast, or a low cal diet.
I am sure they will have another alternative for you, hopefully things will be better on Monday What are you doing in the meantime?

If you're on Medifast only and not having a lean & green meal a day.. think about it.. You're taking in mostly water, so it's go to go somewhere. I say give the Medifast a few more days to see if your body starts to respond. I think it'll get better. Mine did.

Kristy, I am so sorry you're having a hard time with the Medifast. I can't imagine that punch flavor tastes good at all... it makes my stomach turn just thinking about!!! (Ok, I am sick anyway today... have a bad cold & the coughing made sick to my stomach at 4:30 this morning!!) Anyway - good luck with whatever they end up putting you on!! Don't worry - you will lose weight - they will make sure of it!!!  BTW - congrats on the 20lbs gone so far!!!!

Kristy, As Lisa said it is a all liquid diet for you and it makes sense that is what comes out. I know when I was doing it, it gave me BAD gas!!!! I was getting pains like crazy plus the salt was killer. See what the Dr says on Monday and maybe you have a touch of the flu as well? Keep us posted hun ~Hugs~

Thanks guys... They said that I cannot continue on the Medifast, I will dehydrate and end up in the hospital, which will push everything back.  No thanks!  I have an allergy to soy apparently.  I was still on the lean and green, and had bad diarrhea 7 times a day EVERYDAY!  So to slim fast I go.  They are 200 cal each 8 oz.  So I get two a day and broth.  No more food for me, Chris said no more lean n green.  I dont think I will survuve w/o it, but am going to try it.  Man, this is so hard.  Thanks for all the support!

Goodness... I am so sorry things are going so tough for you!! Hopefully the slimfast will work. Try to look at it in the sense you only have a few weeks left (yeah, I know... easier said than done!!). Good luck & if you need anything just holler!!!!

Sorry about that Kristy - hopefully the SlimFast will work - and be a bit easier on the system! I am sure I will lose my lean and green this week also -- countdown is here. We do not have that long left to go really. My surgery is 3 weeks from Wednesday, you are 4 weeks from today! You will do just fine with determination and please call me anytime!

I do still go weekly to get weighed... and this is hard.  the shakes are a lot tastier than the medifast, but i only get two and broth...im STARVING...or it feels like i am.  hopefully i will loose something this week... i dont know with all this change, i may not.  call me michelle.....  thanks for everything guys!
