Hi All, just started medifast today and already missing food. How long does it take to get use to not having any food?
Hi Nancy.. First of all.. Huge hugs... Many of us know exactly how your feeling. I just sent you a private message. Ive been on Medifast since December 8th.. so please give me a call at any time if you need to talk.
For me.. and again, this was just my personal experience.. Day's 2 & 3 were rough. Your body is detoxing from carbs and sugars.... The good news is, that irratable feeling goes away just as quick as it started. The first 2 weeks of Medifast were the toughest. After that it seems like a light just goes off and it's suddenly very easy. You will get through this. Just keep aiming for the light at the end of your tunnel..
Hugs,
Lisa... HW/ 314.7 SW/ 280 CW/ 180ish

Thanks so much Lisa. I appreciate your response. I will keep your number and give you a call.
I'm sure I will need the support. I really want to do this so I will hang in there. On my way out to a friends. Talk to you later.

Nancy,
Congrats on starting your journey to the new you!!!! It's an amazing ride & everything happens so quickly!!!
I was on Medifast for 12 weeks & if I remember correctly it was tough the first week or so & then it got easier!!! I did get to have a lean & green every day unlike some others so that made it easier to deal with but it was hard... I won't lie!!! But ya know what? It was so worth it!!! I am almost 13 weeks post op & have lost about 107lbs so far & I can't even remember those evil Medifast days any more!!!!
Good luck!! You can do this - just keep your eye on the final prize!!!!
