Hi there! Thank you for letting me know that. I actually have Federal BCBS, as I work for the gov't. I don't know if that makes a difference. What's weird is that if I go to the FEPBlue site (Federal Employee Plan BCBS), follow the link to the "Blue Distinction Centers" site, and enter in the first three of my ID, it takes me back to the same FEPBlue site again! In other words, I go round and round in circles. I tried searching the provider directory on the FEPBlue site, but there was no choice in the dropdown menu for Bariatric Surgery. Weird. I'll have to call BCBS on break to find out the scoop, as I don't think they are open after work. Thanks again! Jen

Hello again! I called BCBS the other day to find out what I would have to pay and what they would pay. Guess what? They told me that since that since those docs were out of network, BCBS would not pay a dime. I am going to my primary care for a referral tomorrow (Monday). I'll let you know how it all works out!
