Pain?? x-post

I've had this pain under my incision, above my belly button for awhile now.  I thought it was just sore from starting an exercise routine but it's lasted way too long for that, and it's getting worse.  It hurts when I bend, stretch, or lift anything and the pain seems to be getting more intense.  I plan on calling my doctor's office on Monday morning, but thought I'd post here and see if anyone has any ideas what might be causing it? Thanks! Flo

If your pain is on the left side, where mine was, I was told by the doctor that it is where the bulk of the surgical work was done, muscle cut through and restitched, etc.  I had the pain for 3-5 weeks post surgery.  It was like a burning sensation, brought me to tears at times.  It was more prominent when I was moving around, like when I was making the bed or doing laundry.  It did go away, I just took pain meds and propped myself up more in bed so I wasn't laying flat.  I'd still call the dr's office, but it could be the same thing I experienced along with some other post ops that I know.   Take care and hope you feel better! Hi Flo,    Sorry to hear that you are not feeling too good.  I would call Dr. C right away, though I would try and see if the pain alleviates a little.  It could be an adhesion forming.     Hope the pain will be nothing significant.

Flo, Your pains might be "healing" pains...but, I do think its a good idea to go see the doctor....better safe than sorry.  Good luck and keep us updated. Rosemary

Thanks for your replies Everyone.  I plan on calling the doctor first thing on Monday, hopefully it's just healing pains and not something that will need attention.  I'll keep you posted...  Flo
