Greetings to the New York Board!  It has been a longgggggggggg time for me!  On January 25 2008 I will be 2 years out! I went from 295 to 225 with my lap band, today I am at 250 and ashamed! Discouraged and sinking fast!  The divorce is all but finalized!  I am in my own appartment for 4-5 months now!  I am 50 minutes from my gym!  I have gotten lazy and back to some baddddddddddd eatting habits!   I realize I will get tons of support here, I guess thats why I am here?

I hope all is well with everyone? I wonder how the regulars from my time are?

Tavia, Ilyssa, MsMozy, and the list goes on and on!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya Kenny, It is great seeing you here again on the NY Forum. You are in "NO WAY" a weight loss failure!  You found us again, and we will help you, but you have to want to help yourself also.   Okay,,,,so, you are 50 minutes from the gym, can you join something closer?  What about trying some exercise videos from your local library for free?  What about buying a jump rope and trying that at home? Okay, you''ve confessed about making some bad food choices, if you still have them in your house, what are you going to do with them?  WHAT?  I can't hear you?  LOL, I know you know the right thing to do.  Also, Why don't you try some new foods that you haven't had.  I know a really good mock rice pudding recipe, does that sound good to you?  Please let me know and I'll email to you if interested. Are you drinking your water?   Are you going to support group meetings? Are you eating enough protein? Okay, I'm sure you will begin again and don't be so hard on yourself, we are here for you! Ciao

Kenny, I don't think of you as a failure.  A real failure wouldn't have come back  to the boards at all. Now, pick yourself up, brush yourself off and get going!! Good Luck,  Betsy

Hi Kenny! I know how you must be feeling.  The holidays made things worse for me.  On top of that I've had to deal with some not-so-nice people here on the message boards!!  (sigh)  I've had some discouraging news although I haven't gained weight.  I'm drained financially from this surgery and cannot afford a single appt to anyone right now ....and I've got issues to deal with.  I'm worried, scared and don't know where to turn.  I'm without a pcp and a surgeon right now.  I need to find a bariatric specialist and someone I can talk to who can keep my stuff confidential.  I'm not getting what I need out of support meetings.  It's discouraging.  If you would like to email me privately, we can exchange and talk about what's bothering us that way.  There's more but I don't wish to share it publically here.  Too many "eyes" that I don't need.  You have the tool to get back on track.  Things are not the same as before so get to it.  You were successful and can be there again....back to the basics.  Every day is day to start over.

Kenny, Hun first of you are NOT a failure!!! Many of us go through these rough times when things go on in our lives, only now once things happen do be know if we really have dealt with our eating. I for one noticed that I STILL have these issues, I am in the same place you are hun! I have gained 30 lbs since reaching my surgeons goal but trying to get myself back on track, which is SO hard to do. Come back here and try to work on yourself and maybe we all can help each other! ~hugs~

Kenny, We've missed you! Nope you are NOT a wls failure. You just have to get back on track! You are here and we are willing to cheer you on - all the way back to 225 and then LOWER!  It is SO EASY to fall back in old habits!  If anyone can refocus its you! I remember your spirited posts - Welcome back and happy NEW year!  look at your gym contract - sometimes if you have moved more than a certain # of miles you can "get out" of your contract and find a gym that is closer and works with your schedule. Hugs, Britt
