Trader Joe's-Wegman questions (X-Post)

I have been hearing such great things about Trader Joe's. I have never been to one. Looking at the site kinda reminds me of Wegmans.....First question has anyone ever been to both? are they similiar or is TJ's beter? I just did a search and wegmans is about 25 miles from my house. Then I have TJs in NJ that is about 35 miles from my house (driving there really wouldn't kill me, could fill up my truck in jersey while I am at it. Then there is one in Manhatthan which is 20 minutes from here, but we all know Staten Islanders can NOT get into the city under an hour, and park, so manhathhan is out. So I guess my question is this...is a 35 mile trip worth it to TJ's for all you tradet Joe fans?

Hello, I miss Trader Joe since we are upstate NY now but I think they are worth it but I do not know of Wegman's.  Take the trip one day when you have the time and the weather is good so check it out for yourself! I know I would make the trip if I had one closer to me. ~Hugs~

Gina, I have never been to Trader Joes, but I do go to Wegman's in Bridgewater, NJ.  I also thought there was one in Woodbridge that is closer.  I am a patient of Dr. Ferzli as well.  I see your surgery date is coming up.  I live in Staten Island also.  I wonder if I have met you at a support group meeting.  I still go to almost every meeting, even after two years.  Feel free to email me or PM me on OH if you would like to talk.  S

Yes there is a Wegmans right near woodbridge, and I found the Trader Joe's but haven't gone yet over near the walmart and Target I go to in Linden. As for Dr Ferzli I have been to only 2 of the meetings. and that was in june and july maybe.

Wegman's is NOTHING at all like Trader Joes.  Trader Joe's is worth the trip, standing in lines, and lugging all your great finds back to SI.

I am going to take a trip there Thursday, Since I am on my lovely little low carb diet for 2 weeks, I will pick up a few things, some yogurts you are all raving about. My husband even asked me a few minutes ago when he came home on his swing, thought you were gonna go to that Trader Joe's your friends on the message board told you about. The man really needs his own friend lol. Atleast I know he is listening to me, even if it is cause I am talking about food lol
