You will be just fine!! It won't be easy in the beginning, I won't lie but you can do it!! Add as much variety to the drink flavors as you can!!! I used extracts & it helped a lot!!!! Make sure your drink is ice cold (it's nasty when warm) & drink it slowly!!!! I didn't like it frozen, as Chris suggested, but I did make a "shake" out of it in the blender for a change!!! Just keep remembering why you are doing this & it will keep you on track!! It worked for me & I had to do it 12 weeks!!!  BTW - 8oz of water worked best for me... 6 oz made it too thick & anymore just diluted the taste too much... it's a texture thing for me... yeah, I know, it's crazy!!! Oh yeah - I also used a pretty glass to drink it from!! I had some stemware that I used... hey, it's a mind game & it worked!!!  At work I tried to keep it low-keyed so I used a neat insulated mug to keep it cold & it had a lid so if I needed to shake it back up again a little I could!!! Good luck!!!!! Cece

Thanks so much.  I had to force it down this morning...the vanilla is terrible!  i used the pumpkin and cinnamon spices....and ice, it was so bad.  I had to chase it with water (good way to get the water in, lol).  I am going to try it not frozen next time.... this is gonna be hard, but worth it in the end!!!  Thanks again CeCe.

Oh god - the vanilla... I couldn't even stand the smell of it so I never even got it down!!! I only drank the chocolate!! Try the vanilla with maybe some orange or cherry or even lemon extract... maybe that will help!! Good luck!! I do feel your pain!!!!

Kristy, Hello!   I am doing OKAY - it seems one minite I am convinced I will do just fine and others I am thinking what have I gotten into?   But the outcome will be worth it.   I had the chocolate this morning with ice cubes and it was not bad, I will admit I was still hungry but had my coffee with skim milk and then some beef broth.   I was at a friends and had the next one with water shaken - it is much better in the blendar.    I am getting ready to have my lean and green - and cannot wait but an soooo proud that I have done so well, yes of course the water helps, plan to have a cup of tea and then I have two shakes left for the evening.

All in all not so bad ---

Michelle....

Go online and buy the Orange Cream flavor (yes you can have it-I started my WLS in that same office but didn't finish there--whole nother story). That to me was very tolerable and like the others have said, add extracts to the chocolate, like orange, rasberry, and even lemon, they improve and give you a change of pace with them. Making smoothies helped me too (just adding ice and water to the blender or magic bullet).  Good luck, you'll make out just fine...keep your eyes on the prize!! Joanie

I did not do the shakes but I think a good idea might be to add the DeVinci sugar free syrups. They come in all flavors, they are great in protein shakes so I bet they would help the flavor of the Medifast shakes. I wish you all the best! Hang in there and it will move quickly! ~hugs~

Thanks so much everyone!  I survuved day 1!  I did have diarrhea and a massive headache last night.  I WAS hungry too... especially at work.  And when I was passing dinner to the residents, OMG it was hard.  I HATE the tast of the shakes.  I tried Choclate w/vanilla extract this morning and it was the best so far.  The vanilla is sooooooo bad, even with cinnamon and vanilla extract.  This is really hard.  I couldnt wait to eat my lean and greens... GREAT job michelle!!!  I almost called you last night.  I so hope I can do this!  Thanks for the support guys! Kristy
