need a friend
Hi Everyone,
This is my 1st post here on the NY board. I have only found this sight about a week and 1/2 ago. (I'm a bit computer illiterate so it took me a bit to figure out how to post here on the NY forum!!).
As you can see, I am very much a newbie here. I know it's late and I really dont' expect a reply right now but, I am in need of some friends in this area. I live in Scotia NY, near Schenectady. I don't have any because I drive truck for a living so I wasn't home alot until about 3 yrs ago. My last and bestest friend just dumped me due to her own issues with losing her husband recently and I think her jealously at my having RN-Y surgery. Anyway, if anyone else is in need of a friend please send me a note and maybe we can hook-up somehow, somewhere. I am 49 yrs old, terribly opinionated, awful caring, and I have a great sense of humor. I am married with no kids. ANYONE feeling daring enough to take a chance?

Congrats on your surgery! 
Sorry to hear you might have lost a "friend" as a result. I had a best friend, once, many years ago. She was not married, I was. When we got pregnant, she dumped me as her friend. I found out later she told a mutual friend I was "too hung up on the motherhood thing". In all actuality, these were not friends! You will gain many, many supportive friends on this site. I'm glad you posted! Add me, I'll be your friend, even if it is at a distance! The love and support you'll get on OH is unmeasurable!
