Very well said!   And those were my thoughts, I guess I am scared as the time gets closer.   My date is 02/13/08 - and I am looking forward to it.   It is for my best interest and will lose what is needed and shrink those organs!

Thank you and to everyone *****sponded, always such a help!

Wow - the Medifast program they set me up with was different. It was 12 weeks - 4 shakes a day & lean & green for dinner every night. The last few days before the surgery that all changed of course to liquids & then clear broths only. I guess maybe I had a lot more to lose, who knows!! I don't know how easily I would've survived if I had to do 11 weeks of liquids only!! Congrats on getting this far!! I give you a lot of credit!!!  Keep up the great work!! Cece

I started Medifast on December 8th and when I was weighed on Wednesday (the 2nd)... I had lost just over 20 lbs in 25 days.

Hey friend!!!  Amazing how we met today!   Tomorrow is  the day, I am nervous...I am not sure I can do this!  I get the one meal for one week, then just 5 shakes a day after that for 5 more weeks... 6 weeks total.  Good Luck!!!

Hello....Yes, that was to funny today - we will be able to do this!   I am confident in the morning I will be raring to go!   We will get through this week and the next and so on!   I have the lean and green for a week also and then the rest of the time shakes only!   I am concerned the the test for the oxygen level hope that does not mess me up!   But you said you had that and they did not send you anywhere - right? Call me if you want, I will be in and out tomorrow - leave a message and I will call you back!

I had to be on Medifast for 12 weeks and I too had the one lean & green meal until today, my last day of food until after surgery! I think it might depend on how much you have to lose and what other health problems you have. When I first started they told me I would have the meal because of my diabetes but eventually I'd stop the meal, but they never told me to stop eating it (yes, they knew I was still eating), I think because I was losing every week - 54 pounds total as of last week. My husband (he's scheduled for surgery on Feb 5) has to be on Medifast for 15 weeks and he's still on the one lean & green daily, he's also diabetic and has a lot to lose. So far he's lost 75 pounds on it. I kept in mind that I wanted this surgery to go as smoothly as possible and knew losing as much weight as possible before hand would help. Jeanine

From consult date (10/07) - includes 62 pounds lost on medifast before surgery.
