Banded by Dr. Kurian?

Hello and Happy New Year!   I am looking for anyone who has been banded by Dr. Mariana Kurian.  I read her page, but it is not that current.  Just your thoughts or anything are welcome.  I am switiching surgeons and have chosen the NYU group.  I am impressed with their credentials and experience.  I would just like to know of anyone's personal experiences with the lap band.

I didn't have LapBand with Dr. Kurian, but I did have RNY with Dr. Ren. After my surgery, Kurian was covering for Ren and followed up with me in the hospital. I saw her several times while I was there and I liked her very much.

While I did find the NYU office frustrating to deal with (the surgical coordinator actually) They are wonderful surgeons and I don't think you could be in better hands.

Hi! Dr. Kurian is my surgeon and I'm getting banded in 5 weeks - so far, she's great and I'm really looking forward to having her as my surgeon. Please let me know if you have further questions - I'm happy to talk!!!
