Hello my OH family, Sorry I have not been around much lately, I am not in a good place right now and with all this extra eating I have gained a total of 27 lbs from my lowest, which was my surgeons goal of 153 lbs. Now I got back on the scale today and I was......180.5 lbs OMG!!!! I am only 5 1/2 foot tall so that is not a good thing! My own goal was 135 lbs or so and now it is even father away then before, I am so scared that I will gain all my weight back. I feel like I failed but I know I still have lost just over 100 lbs so I am still proud of that! I changed jobs and now I travel the other direction so I have not been going to the gym that I belong to nor have I gotten on my treadmill since the time I was laid off of my job, I know I have to get myself back on track to lose the weight that I gained AND to reach my personal goal! I just need to get myself INTO the right frame of mind to get this done! I did not come this far and doing all of this to fail again!!! When people say "Just do it" I can not understand that because if it was THAT easy then I would have just done it to start with. I know I still have to work on WHY I am eating and I guess that will be part of this as well. Sorry to lay this out on New Years Eve but I wanted to come back and let you all know how things have been going.....Miss my OH family!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! OK now I would like to see if anyone else would like to put into writting something that you would like to work towards in the new year! Come on 2008!!! 1. Get my work outs in, it does not have to be everyday at this point but just a few days a week to get myself back into the habit. 2. Getting back to drinking ALL of my water and wean off my Diet Coke! OK WHO IS NEXT????? Luv ya's.....

Happy New Year Debra, Glad you posted!  It is so hard - I struggle with food EVERYDAY and I can CLEARLY see that If I don't pay attention - I can fall righ tback into old habits and gain weight!  I am at goal, but I don't find it easy - maintaining. I still bust my butt at the gym daily and eat right most days. The Holidays have been VERY challenging for me with food and I have been bad with getting my 128 ounces of water in (so not like me). I AM GLAD TO WELCOME IN 2008 and happy all of the parties are coming to an end. I agree with you - getting into the right frame of mind is KEY.  You said you have come far already and you are not willing to fail. BE DETERMINED TO GET TO YOUR GOAL. You know (we all know) what you  (we) need to *tweak* in your eating & exercise, YOU have the power to change it!  Think of 2008 as a BLANK book with NOTHING wriiten on the pages ... You can make it a *goal reaching* year :) you are the author ... what are you going to make of it? Go for it DEB!!!!  MY PLAN FOR THE NEW YEAR 1) only eat my meals seated at the table 2) get all my water in ....everyday 3) continue with my exercise plan 4) log my daily food intake on fitday.com hugs, Britt

Nothing - tastes as good as it feels -to be at my ideal weight :)

Deb~Britt had great advice as always. I to go up and down the same 5-10lbs, and am not at goal at 2 1/2 yrs out. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Id love to loose 25-30lbs and know I can do it, its just the will power and determination I lack. I have it for a few days, then old habits creep in. Know your not alone!!! I plan on doing protein shakes for a few days to detox my body from the crap ive had over the holidays. Im also glad there over! I also will drink alot to. Then my plan is to watch what I eat, count calories, and do my best to get in more exercise. Even if its baby steps like parking far away from work, grocery store etc. We can do it....it just takes hard work and dedication.

All the best to you in 2008 Deb!!!

Kathy, Yes she always does...   I guess if we just keep at it then it will come in time! This is something that we have to work on everyday for the rest of our lives. I so just wanted to be normal but I guess it is not meant to be and I now know I have to watch each and every day to make sure I stay on track. Thanks again hun for all of your support! HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!

Hi  Debra, It is so good to see you back on OH.  I've missed your postings. I know you'll fit the exercise back into your schedule even if it means waking up early to do so. Hmmm, lets see, a few of my New Years resolutions.... 1-to start running to train for my 1st 5K 2-Got to work on getting more water in 3-to not allow a certain coworker to get under my skin! LOL Good luck on your resolutions ladies ciao

Hiya sweetie,

Glad to see ya posting here!  I've missed ya (and for the life of me can't figure out how to send those cute things back on myspace!  LOL)  You've done awesome!  100+ lbs is amazing!!!!  I won't get on the scale right now b/c I suspect I gained a couple or more since Thanksgiving.  I agree...how ridiculous it is when someone tells us to just do it.  wtf do they think???  I guess it makes me laugh at them!  My issue is that I am not exercising!  At all.  Once in a while I take the dog for a walk, but not often.

1.  Walk more
2.  Eat breakfast   (oops...NOT CAKE or cookies!)
3.  No eating in front of the tv My personal contract with myself...

Happy New Year Love ya right back!
