Vertical sleeve gastrectomy in Rochester

Has anyone had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in the Rochester/Finger Lakes area?  I would also appreciate any feedback on the Highland program and Dr. Thad Boss. 

I didn't have the sleeve (rny) but I did use the Highland program. I found them very competent and didn't have any problems. Everything went very smoothly. Feel free to ask if you have any specific questions and good luck on your journey.

Hi Meg, I had wanted the VSG from Dr Boss, but was told they didn't do that surgery at the Highland group.  So I had RNY in August with Dr Boss, he was great.  I have only seen him 4 times he has a great since of humor and great bedside manner.  The highland hospital stay was really good too, they were very attentive. Did Dr. Boss tell you that VSG was not an option? 

Yes he did, he said there office does not do the VSG.  I also looked into the Lapband, I was reluctant to do the RNY, but now am glad I did, I have had no problems and have so much energy.  I am down 59 pounds.
