I Gained A Lot This Christmas!

GOTTCHA! I am gaining a daughter-in-law because my son got engaged this Christmas. We couldn't be happier because she is such a warm and caring young woman...a real cutie. She fits right in - especially her sense of humor. Soooooo, a June 2009 wedding is planned and we know how fast time flies. God willing, I will be a Mom without a mumu (sp?) gown for the big day. I was so uncomfortable for my daughter's wedding. In fact, that is what really pushed me into WLS. Climbing up those church steps and traipsing through the park for wedding pictures...well...I felt like I was beat up with a tire iron. (My poor knees.) That was before the reception - oh boy! P.S. The only thing that worries me is that since he left home we purchased a 52inch TV. He told her that he might want to rethink and move back home! LOL. Oh, nooooooooooo.

Congrats sweetie!  How fun that will be for all of you.  I love my son's g/f of 11 years (they've been dating since 5th grade.  He's a Sr. in college and she has an extra year due to a major change).  That makes ALL the difference!  I agree, I think seeing ourselves at various events or imagining how our children are impacted by our being overweight definitely played a big part on my decision.

WOOWOO talk about SIZE!  52" tv is awesome.  I have a 37" flat screen and I love it! 

Thanks Cheri. It should be lots of fun...more-so the second time around with out the excess baggage. P.S. The T.V. will be my husbands birthday, halloween, St. Paddy's Day, Easter, Valentine, Christmas and whatever other special holiday gift rolled into 1. (For the next 5 years!)

thats great news i am dreading the day my baby boy brings home a girl!!!! right now i am preparing to send him to college and thats hard hahahah you have to pick out the sexiest gown you will be able to sport just about anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! god bless thats awesome!!!!!!!!
