new york city support group
I live in Manhattan and I'd love a group!! I have one with my surgeon's office but when I ask a question they sometimes look at me like I've got a third eyeball on my chin. Perhaps with everyone being from the bouroughs we could have meetings at different bouroughs each time? Just a thought. Except I refuse under any cir****tance to go to Staten Island (sorry to all those SI'ers love ya support ya and all but I'll stay to the other four bouroughs.)
201 pounds lost since surgery!! And I'm 2 1/2 inches taller too!!
And YES I still eat Carbs and Fats but I know what portion control is!!
Surgery Date: 6/5/07

Hi Teresa, We use to have a post of our group on this site, however for some reason I had to resubmit the info, today. We have been meeting for the past several months in my downtown NYC office on the last thursday of the month at 7:00. I am a post op as well as a psychologist. I am the support group leader and a participant..and the group is free! If you are interested in attending, please call me at 212-662-7665. We have a terrific group of warm, supportive women...we welcome men as well. Hope to hear from you, Robyn
Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that I run groups in NYC for pre and post surgery. It does provide a place to "mouth off" and explore your feelings. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Happy Holidays
