Hi All,
Yesterday was not a typical day because I had to fast for an abdominal CAT Scan but...... I LIVE ON PEANUTS (in the shell type)!
I must have been an elephant in my past life (ok, ok, stop laughing...I know what you're all thinking).
I buy the 5 pound bags of peanuts IN THE SHELL! (Costco and BJs have them.) I eat them when I feel a craving, or to just hold me over until my next meal. They take time to shell, have no salt, no added oil, and are very satisfying.
True: we're not supposed to graze but I'm a realist and at times I need something! I have found these peanuts to be the answer for me....I love them!
Oh, let's not forget that peanuts are high in protein! Yes, they are high in fat but I have been eating them for about 8 months now, 5 pound bags at a time LOL...and my weight is excellent! It's a far better food to snack on than, say, chips, pretzels, crackers, etc.
Good topic, Maryellen.....bring on the suggestions, people!
Hugs,
Karen
