Need Help

This is my first time posting to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me.  I have completed everything required of me (sleep study, psychological, education workshop, support group meetings, joined the YMCA, etc.).  The only thing left is to lose 8 additional pounds (total of 25) and meet with the nutritionist.  Last week learned that my appointment has been moved from February 4th to February 22nd.  I've had the February 4th date since September.  I can't get a surgery date until I've met with the nutritionist and they only accept three nutritionists, all with long wait lists.  The problem is that I'm so disappointed that I've stopped losing weight.  I feel all of my old habits starting to kick in and I need some motivation to get back on track.  Any suggestions?

Hello and WELCOME :) you can do this .... so how bad do you want this "tool"? Having your date pushed back is hard - I had to have my surgery rescheduled and my date was pushed back 30 (long days) lol Anyway - remain focused on your main goal!  Don't focus on the bumps in the road Think of this as a little test - for whats to come -  you have to WORK your tool - in order to have  long term success keep us posted  we are cheering for you!  Hugs, Britt

Thanks, Britt! I really want this tool.  I've learned in support groups how important it is to see this as a tool rather than the answer to everything.  I think that's what scared me when I started falling into old habits--am I really ready to do what it takes to make this work?  Just having you send me an affirmation has helped remind me what is important.  I don't want food to be the center of my universe any longer. Keep the faith...this will be good practice for you for after the surgery...take one day at a time and the time will fly!  Good Luck! Rosemary
