newbie - advice on HIP-Prime...
hi all! i just started my journey, and have my first appt w/my surgeon thursday. YAY!
here's the question...
i have HIP-Prime, and i'm just wondering if any of you used them.
if so, how long did it take until you were approved?
also, had any of you guys had a heart attck prior?
it WAS a mild heart attack, but it is what it is, right?
any advice you can give will be sorely appreciated.
i'm scared and excited at the same time.
ever since my pcp gave me the go-ahead i can barely sit still!

I have no advise on your doctor or insurance, just wanted to welcome you the boards. I'm orginally from brooklyn (flatbush area), but now live in Jersey. Wanted to wish you luck on your journey and to advise you to ask all the questions you want, these people are are a great source of information and support. My surgery is on friday....yes this week . i have HIP prime no problem with approval. it took approx. 2 weeks. Good luck on your surgery. Mine was 9/6/07 and 57 pounds lost so far. I only told my kids and fiance. Everybody at work is talking about me and saying whatever im doing to keep it up. I have never had a fill (each time they tell me i don't need one) my next appointment is 12/17/07 i want a fill (cross your fingers). Again, HIP Prime gave me no problem and as long as your primary care doctor fills out the paperwork correctly, there should be no problem. My prayers are with you.
