Hi Diane, I agree with you but also with Teresanyc.  I think we should forwad these responses to Opra and request a show of our own on this subject.  Not only the guests on stage but the entire audience should be WLS people like us.  I bet their lines would be flooded and it would be standing room only.  Oprah is an EXTREMELY INFLUENTIAL person, so lets help her truly understand. Hey, maybe she'll even get us those great give-a-ways! Send her emails or letters ASAP lets help educate Oprah and give her a better understanding of why people turn to WLS and how if affects the remaider of our lives.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

I happen to Love Oprah as well however she does have a certain way of makeing it a point when she has people that have lost weight on her show to emphasize that it was done "on their own without any type of surgery" as if we dont do it on our own, the surgery does it for us.  But she is not alone.  If you watch most media shows , the news, special reports on wls they all say it in that way.  "How did they do it"  "They did it without surgery" etc..... I dont take offense as I feel if you are not educated on the surgery, do not understand what we go through to maintain where we are....then go ahead and try to loose a hundred pounds "on your own without surgery" as they say it.  And eventually "most " will realize that its just to hard.  SOme people do it and thats wonderful.  Me i tried for many years and couldnt and needed a guide to help me and thats what this surgery is......becaue now 2 years out the surgery is not what is m aintaining my weight loss......it all me.
