6 Month Surgiversary (yesterday)
Hi my loverlies!
Well, yesterday was my 6 month out mark.
I have slowed down in my losing, but am still losing inches.
The nurses told me looked "cute" today. I had a short black cord skirt, tights and an argyle sweater on. No one has told me I look cute in years...many, many years! I'm 48!
LOL I guess cute is good, right? I will be going to their support group at the docs office on the 19th. I'm going to give some encouragement to those frustrated with their band and encourage those hoping to be banded. I waited for the doc to show. He wasn't there when I arrived, but I wanted him to give me my fill and see how I've changed since he saw me last (maybe June). It was my 3rd fill. I'm now at 2.5 in my 4cc band. (I had sushi for dinner. All is well!) We had an incredible convo about banding and his facility. I have to agree with him when he says it's not the surgeons at his office, it's the whole package they provide to patients! Beginning with the informational meeting, monthly weigh~ins and meetings with the NUT.
He told me that he knew when I lost 17 lbs prior to surgery, that I would do well. He believes it's ones commitment prior to surgery and their mental status prior to surgery that will show one's success, excluding complications of course. I go back in 6 weeks to see how my fill is going. My plan was to go to the office every 3 months for support. I guess I need them to encourage me, too! I had my pic taken with my surgeon.
I'll post it later. I adore this man and admire him for the lives he gives back to those of us who seek him out! (I know, I"m rambling...lol) 26 lbs to goal. I know I can do it by May 8, 2008!
I love all of you for helping get to the point I'm at.
Your generous friendships and support means so much. Danke'
