insurance not paying for monthly follow up visit

i got an explanation of benefits today... looks like my insuarance GHI won't be covering any of the monthly follow up visits.. they denied the claim for my 6 week visit saying this was paid in the original surgery claim.......... yeah how far do they think the $2700 they paid the surgeon is going to stretch out? oh boy, i hope this doesnt end up being a problem and i have to stop going to monthly appointments. this happen to anyone else?

I'd call them, sweetie.  I can't imagine they'd pay prior to surgery visits and not follow ups!  I paid $12 a visit prior and have not paid for the 3 I've had since surgery!

Normally the followups after surgery are covered by the initial surgeon payment for surgery.  I would call the Dr and find out their policy.  Good Luck. Rosemary
