Someone somewhere wants me to finish a whole bottle of xanax for dinner. This morning I get a phone call from my surgeons office, they recieved my Drs letters and they are very concerned with the way my Drs weighin records are, They said he sent in my weighins from november to march then just september and october with no Novemeber weigh in. The surgeons office said the November to -March has nothing but weigh ins, doesn't even look like there were any vitals taken or anything, Septemeber and October look like more of an appt with actual notes. But he didn't even give a weight for November when I was just there. So I call my Drs office and I get some snipey ***** (scuse me) who probably is in a hurry to get home (she is definatly new cause I am going there since 99 and never seen her) anyway I tell her the situation but that I would like to speak to my Dr, she puts me on hold and tells me the Dr said he sent everything he had and there is nothing more he can do, I said whoa have him call me back so I can explain it my own way, thanks. Anyway I then call my surgeons office back he said I can submit this but you will not get approval on those earlier weigh ins so your best bet is have him document Novembers weighin and go the next three months (ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh hell no) so Now I am waiting on the Dr to call me back and see what is up, I knew it, he takes crappy notes, and i guarentee that is part of the reason I was denied 3 years ago, ughhhh I just have a strange feeling this is gonna be the death of me

I'd wait for that call, but in the mean time call your insurance company or go through your records to make sure he even gets the dates down!!!!

Gina, Don't give up.  Health care is like a puzzle that you have to navigate your way through.  We are here to help.  I believe as a health care professional and consumer of the system that you have to be SUPER pro-active.  Perhaps going back to the MD office and speaking with the staff in person might not be a bad idea.  "Stay in their faces."  They are not connected to how important this issue is in your life so maybe educating them about YOUR NEEDS is a possibility.  In addition, you have been seeing the MD since 99' so I imagine you have felt some confidence in his/her management previously?  Good Luck and don't give up!
