R U FROM Long Island? WHO WAS YOUR SURGEON?

HI, I'm researching WLS and still searching for a surgeon. I have'nt made a decision yet. Who was your surgeon, would you recommend him/her? Do you have any regrets?

i have dr adaniels. no complaints and many others have used him

Thank you for replying to my post. Dr. Adaniel is probably the only Dr. on L.I. that i would not use. I know someone who had WSL surgery with him about 4 years ago and thngs did not go well. Not saying he's not good, but I know what she went through and no thanks. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend and her experience with Dr. Adaniel. I had my surgery done by him 3 years ago. I had no complications and everything went well for me. I also attend a support group held at Good Sam Hospital in West Islip, every other Saturday which has many of his patients there that have only good things to say about him and their experience. Perhaps you would like to join our group and talk to some people. We have patients of Dr, Cussatti, Garber, Gellman, Adaniel, Ahmad, Lee.  The next meeting is Nov. 17th at 9am.  I also know a bunch of Dr. Brathwaite patients that had a good experience. There are so many to choose to from. Good luck!

Good for you - let us know how it goes :)  They have a great aftercare program - monthly post op visits for 1 year after surgery -  Then every 3 months after you are 1 year post op ... and so on. I liked that :)  If you have any questions ..let me know. Hugs, Britt

I used Dr. Larry Gellman.  I got an infection in the hospital, which was not his fault, but he took excellent care of me.
