people at work

Hi :)
With regards to venting - I totally understand. In my case, I am a very private person so being able to talk on here is extremely helpful. Especially since this (weight loss) is a sensitive topic for me.
With regards to co-workers - Not very many people at work know that I am going to have the surgery, but based on what I see and what other people are doing (I work in a Hospital) people talk about the subject as if this was an appointment to get their nails done. I dont feel comfortable with that, since some people see the result and forget that there are risks involved. I guess it varies by person, but you seem to be doing the right thing by letting them know of the risks. I can understand how your situation can ******ve wrecking, but its their individual decision. By the way! CONGRATS on your achievement!

Hi Sue,I work for a large grocery chain and I'm the go to person as well.I don't adversize my surgery but I don't hide it either.I have customers constantly noticing my weight loss.So far there is one associate who is going for wls and two customers that have gone as a result of my success.I have talked to them all about my journey. Most of the time I think many complications are because of on going health issues a person my of had.I knew surgery was a risk but i also knew the extreme weight was as well. It's up to others to use this tool to the best of their ability to succeed.Tak care , Bob
