IH has my surgery request....pending approval
I received a call from Independent Health this afternoon, they are putting my request for WLS into pending. The reason, she said, was that they don't have a recent bloodwork detail showing my TSH levels. The one that was sent from Dr. C's office was the one from Oct 2006. I had my TSH levels rechecked in August of 2007 and there was practically no change from last year.
I told the lady at IH that I had bloodwork done in August, she asked that I have that paperwork faxed to her attention. I said I will do that right away. I also stated that the reason I am not on anything for my thryoid is because Dr. Kenney, my PCP, says that my Free T4 is normal. So I called my PCP's office and told Sheila, that IH needs that paperwork right away. Sheila said she will do that immediately for me.
I then called Deanne at Dr. C's office and told her that I received a call from IH about the pending status. She said she knew that this morning and was going to call me later today. Deanne said it seem that I have done what I needed to do, with getting the recent TSH levels sent to IH. I told her that Sheila was also going to have the results faxed to Dr. C's for my file.
So now I sit here waiting patiently for IH to get back to me. I should know soon. I can't wait. I will hopefully have a surgery date by next Friday.
