Got a date...and I am all nervous with questions!
Finally it is totally official. I got my scheduling letter in the mail. My Surgery is scheduled for Nov 28th, but I go into the hospital on the 27th for my IVC Filter.
I haven't had a pre-op appt yet, and I won't until the 19th. I am so happy, overjoyed, scared, nervous. Who would have thought that so many emotions would come with surgery?
So I have all kinds of questions about what to expect after surgery.
Would anyone like to fill me in....maybe share a little bit of what you experienced? I know we are all different and it will be unique for each of us, but I would love to hear your stories.
Thanks!

Hi,
In response to your message I want you to know that feeling a range of emotions from excited to scared is so common and expected. From the work I have done and currently do I know that post surgery can feel like an emotional roller coaster. Just want to remind you that this is a transition and like most changes it will take time to adjust. Good luck.

Hi,
Just some tools that you may find helpful in response to your last post. I call it taking a daily "tempature/emotional" check in. Journaling can help to discharge some of your ambiguous emotions and talking about your feelings basically anything you can do to get them out should offer you some comfort.
