Weird pain in left thigh...

I have noticed the last couple of nights that when I wake up I have this weird tingly sorta pain in my left outer-upper thigh. (My leg has been straight & flat for a while & I don't really sleep longer than 2 or 3 hrs tops at a time, if I'm lucky!!) Once I move my leg & bend it the pain goes away. I don't think it's the pain that wakes me up either. It is a bit more intense than that feeling you get when your leg "falls asleep"... very weird!!! I don't remember it happening at the hospital - new to being home. I am going to mention it to the dr but just curious as to what you guys think - see if anyone else has experienced something similar!  Other than that I am doing pretty good!! I did over-stretch my left side a bit on Saturday & had some very nasty sharp pain in the area above the left side incision. OMG - Stupid move on my part - reached for something without even thinking about what I was doing!!! Can you say DUMB-A$$?!!! Anyway - that pain seems to have subsiuded & I am back to taking extra strength tylenol instead of lortabs so I figure that's a good thing!!! (I will mention my dumb move to the dr too, just in case!!) Thanks!! Cece

Morning Cece!

Not sure what that means.  Definitely mention it to the doc.

You're too cute!  Just take it easy for a bit, sweetie!  Glad to see you've decreased the type of pain med.  Soon you'll be off all of them!

Cece, I had a similar pain in my hip the first few weeks. I blamed it on sleeping in the wore-out hospital bed on my back for three days.  It did go away, but you might want to mention it to the doctor.  Yes...don't overdo...did that too myself..just take it easy..you have to recover from major surgery and it takes awhile.  Every day gets better and its all worth it... hi!  not that i know a whole lot here but just a thought. Are you positioning your self a liitle awkardly when you sleep due to your surgery??? Maybe it is that positon that causing the pain. Try putting a pillow between your legs at night to raise them up a little. It cant hurt right??? good luck!!!

Cece, are you getting enough fluids in?  Just a thought.  You might want to mention it to your doc.  Good for you being off the lortabs now.  I bet you'll feel pretty good!
