Jane or anyone who used Dr. Cussatti????

Hello. If you used Dr. Cussatti then I am sure you had to go through Dr. Khanna or one of his associates for the final clearance.  What happens at this meeting and do I have to bring him all of the paperwork or does Cussatti's office send it to him themselves.   I have finally completed all of my appt's needed to get cleared by Dr. Khanna and now I am nervous that he won't have all of the paperwork.  Thanks  everyone.

Lili bring copies of EVERYTHING! Sometimes things to get lost in the "land of the fax" Also if you don't know...they are requiring proof that you attended 3 support group meetings now...they just started that 2 weeks ago. Anything else just give a shout out!

Really??  3 meetings?  well, i better make the next one then...when were they going to tell me that?  Amazing!!  Thanks so much.  Well, iw as going to go to Dr. Cussatti's and ask them for copies of every letter.  i already have a caopy of my cardiac so the office has to give me a copy of what is in my file right?  Thanks so much Jane.  I knew he wasn't gonna miraculouly have all of my paperwork!!

Did you make your appt. with Dr Khanna yet? If not call tomorrow and make it! They're hard to come by

I did make it like last month.   I have my appt. November 7th.  And I have my appt. with Dr. Cussatti Dec. 4th.  How long did it take you to get a date after seeing Dr. Cussatti? 

Is it your 1st appt with Dr Khanna or your 2nd? Also once insurance approval is gotten, you can be put on the schedual within 3 weeks, just depends on what Dr Cussatti has schedualed already.

I just want to put in my 2 cents. You couldn't get a better doctor than Dr. Cussatti. He operated on me for my lapband and my DH for RNY. That man saved both of our lives! I brought copies of all of the clearances whenever I went to any appointment. It doesn't hurt to be prepared. Good luck!

Hijack back to you! Jane - if you hear anything about Good Sam and approval as a center of excellence for Medicare please let me know right away. My daughter needs this surgery so badly. Her husband's policy has an exclusion but she now has Medicare. Thanks in advance.

If Roseann is working tomorrow I'll find out for you. I know the comittee was at the hospital about 2 months ago doing their "inspection" , but I don't know if we ever got the certification.
