missed meeting

i had all intentions of attending the LIPO  meeting last night and i went to a friends for dinner and by the time we ate it was late..... i am a little bummed but my life recently hasnt been easy and im going thru a little bit of chaos..... and at dinner last night i felt a little bit of peace so it was good... i hope you all had a great meeting and i will definetly go next month if im off from work!!!!! i miss all you guys and hope that you are still having the sucess i know your all capable of !!!!!! see you all soon

Stacy, I really hope things improve for you. You deserve to be happy.  It sounds like you need a laugh so I'll share this with you....I was in the City yesterday at a work related conference; and I was so focused on getting back out to the Island for the meeting that I never bothered to check my cell phone for messages. So,(yep, you guessed it) I went to the library, and asked where the LIPO meeting was being held. So at first the lady said to me, "We just have BOOKS on liposuction, we don't host a MEETING about it!!!  I explained it was a WLS Support Group scheduled to meet at this library. I showed her a copy of the e mail Karen had sent out....and she went to get another lady. The second lady wanted to know why a bunch of people who needed liposuction would want to meet in a library!!! UGH!!!!! I was tired and my patience was probably not what it should have been; at that point I asked if there were any groups meeting this evening; and could they please direct me to the portion of the library that accomodates group meetings. Then, man came over and said to me,"I hear you're looking to become a groupie..." I couldn't deal with any of them anymore (they each had to be well into their 70's) so I thanked them for their help and turned to leave. The original lady called out in a loud tone, "Good luck with your liposuction!!!!"  On my way home, I finally decided to check my phone......... Take Care!!!!   

Barbara, I don't know whether to laugh or cry??? The women would not let us post a flier on the library door, she promised that the night crew would be advised about our relocation back to Panera,,,,YIKES!!!!   So sorry about the mixup.  I hope there weren't any others that happened to? Maryellen

Hi Maryellen, Please don't be upset, it was totally my fault!! I should have checked my cell phone. I put your number in my phone for safe keeping!!! Anyhow, it's alright to laugh......after I got over the initial shock----it was a pretty funny story.  Take Care!!!!

Hey Diane, I'm glad I was able to make you laugh!!! In retrospect, it REALLY WAS FUNNY!!!! I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone--LOL!!! I missed you too!!!!
